We are required under the European Union 'General Data Protection Regulations' (GDPR) to have a Privacy Policy that governs the information we hold about you, and how we use it.

If you have stayed with us at El Níspero Dulce (or, in some circumstances, made a booking and cancelled it) we will hold some or all of the following information about you:

  • Address
  • Phone number or mobile phone number
  • Email address
  • Any additional information you provide e.g. food or other allergies, dietary requirements, special requirements, etc.
  • Information about how you use our website (e.g. which pages you have viewed, the time you viewed them and what you clicked on)
Information we obtain from third parties will generally be your name and contact details, but may include any additional information they provide to us, including (but not limited to) any of the types of information set out in the list above.
When you access our website or Wi-Fi facilities, your device’s browser provides us with information such as your IP address, browser type, access time and referring URL that is collected and used to compile statistical data. This information may be used to help us to improve our website and the services we offer, and to offer services to you.



How we use Your Personal Data

The personal information provided to us will only be used in connection with the services we are providing to you and in a way that you have provided permission.

  • Provide additional information that may be useful to you or is requested by you
  • Process your booking and provide confirmation details
  • We may use the information to improve our products and services.
  • We may periodically send promotional emails about new special offers or other information that we think you may find interesting using the email address that you have provided.

How we Store Your Data and Keep it Secure

We do our best to keep your personal data safe.  We use safe protocols for communication and transferring data (such as HTTPS). The information is held in a password protected secure digital database.
Any written correspondence or records, including the registration form, is kept in a secure, locked filling cabinet. These records are only kept for as long as is reasonable.



Data Retention

We will retain your information, which may include personal data for as long as we deem it necessary to provide services to you, comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes with any parties and otherwise as necessary to allow us to conduct our business including to detect and prevent fraud or other illegal activities. All personal data we retain will be subject to this Privacy Statement. Disclosures of Your Personal Data

Please note that we are currently required by law to collect certain information from all our guests from the age of 16 years old.  We do this by asking you to complete a registration form on arrival that includes the name(s), nationality, passport number(s), and the gender, place of birth and date of birth. We will keep these forms safely in a locked filing cabinet. We are required to send these data within 24 hours of arrival to the Guardia Civil:
-          Departemento Hospederias of the Guardia Civil, part of the Ministerio del Interior of the Spanish Government

Our website contains links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.



Your Rights

You may request that we provide you with any personal information we hold about you. Provision of such information will be subject to the supply of appropriate evidence of your identity e.g. a photocopy of your passport certified by a solicitor or bank plus an original copy of a utility bill showing your current address.
You also have the right to request that we delete and destroy your personal data. Subject to providing evidence of your identity (see above) we will be happy to comply with a request to delete your data.
